Anatomy of a notification
PlanMill New UI highlights
In PlanMill (New UI), notifications have been designed to make it easier for users to scan and use a notification’s most important elements:
Primary content
Content is the most prominent element of a notification. Secondary information, such as a timestamp, is smaller and consolidated above the primary content.
The header and content areas
The header and content areas are comprised of:
- Header area: The group icon, the app/module name, header text and timestamp
- A content title: A brief headline for the notification
- Content text: Supporting information

How notifications may be noticed

Notification interactions
Users may interact with a notification in the following ways:
- To navigate to a destination.
- To navigate, a user may click or tap a notification.
- To dismiss it
- A user may dismiss a notification by clicking or tapping.
- A user may dismiss all notifications by clicking or tapping Dismiss all
Types of notifications
A predefined set of notifications will be available as follows:
Absences
- Accepted: Notify employee (absentee) when a single absence has been accepted.

- Rejected: Notify employee (absentee) when a single absence has been rejected.
- Waiting for acceptance: Notify superior (acceptor) when a single or a group of absences are waiting for acceptance.

Requests
- New assignment: Notify performer when a new assignment has been added.

- New comment: Notify all commenters/followers when a new comment has been added to a single request.

- New email: Notify performer when a new email has been received to a request.
Tasks
- New assignment: Notify performer when a new assignment has been added.
Invoices
- Waiting for confirmation: Notify performer when an invoice is waiting for confirmation. Access right: The notification will be visible to all user roles who have Confirm invoiced access right enabled.
