Create, edit and delete a sales order

Create a new sales order

  1. Go to Sales & Marketing > Sales orders.
  2. Click New Order.
  3. Add Name, Quote date, Quote valid until, Language & currency and Customer contact.
  4. Select sales order items.
  5. Fill in other necessary information and click Save as New.

Create a new sales order from an opportunity

  1. Go to Sales & marketing > Opportunities.
  2. Select the opportunity you want to base your sales order on.
  3. In the summary page, click Create New and from the dropdown list select Sales order.

Note: Information from the opportunity is inherited to the new sales order.

Edit a sales order

  1. Go to Sales & Marketing > Sales orders.
  2. Edit a sales order either by:
    • Click on the sales order and in the summary page click Edit or
    • Click the pencil icon of the sales order you want to edit.
  3. After you have done the changes, click Save.

Delete a sales order

  1. Go to Sales & Marketing > Sales orders.
  2. Click on the checkbox of the sales order you want to delete.
  3. Click Delete.

Add sales order item row

  1. Go to Order items category.
  2. Click Add order item.
  3. All fields become visible by clicking the arrow on the right.
  4. Select Product.
  5. Update Item name, QTY, Billing type, Inv. period and all other relevant fields.
  6. Check and fill other necessary fields.

Delete sales order item row

  1. Go to Order items category.
  2. Click delete X icon.
  3. Confirm “Delete order item” by OK.

Note:

Inheritance: Sales order items inherit values from products. By selecting a product, fields such as Name, Unit, Price, VAT, Invoice Period and Auto Invoice generation are filled automatically.

Supplier: Make sure you have correct supplier information so that billing will be handled properly.

Delete sales order item row: The delete option is only visible if the Auto Invoice generation field value is either Empty (-) or Automatic prices.
